An Experienced Real Estate Agent Sharing Advice and Lessons

For more than 15 years now, I have been servicing, educating, and selling in the real estate industry. I know every aspect of real estate, and I want to share my insight to those who are aspiring to make a career in this field.

It is a huge industry. In fact, there are around 1.4 million licensed real estate agents across the country. To become successful, you need all the help you can get. Thankfully, I am here to offer my wisdom.

Real Estate and Sales: How Are They Connected

As I’ve mentioned before, sales is my background. It’s where I’m good at. However, I recently decided to bring my knowledge of real estate to the next level by acquiring my California Real Estate license. I want to apply my skills in sales in my real estate work, and I know that there are many insights from the former that I can use.

To me, real estate agents are salespeople as well.

They need to be sales professionals if they want to succeed in this line of work. In my opinion, less than 10% of the industry acts and performs like a true professional. A true sales professional has the ability to be a chameleon. This trait is needed to acquire a potential client without losing track of integrity, honesty, and straightforwardness.

A salesperson also has to be familiar with sales and negotiation, as these go hand in hand. Both buyers and sellers need master negotiators on their side if they ever were to purchase or put up a property for sale with ease.

What Makes a Good Real Estate Agent

To start and maintain a good career in this industry, a real estate agent has to have the following:

  • Steady Routine

  • Good Attitude

  • Thick Skin

  • Healthy Mind and Body

  • Sobriety

  • Balance

A true professional also handles losing deals with class, practices good karma, and utilizes his or her free time wisely while being careful with burnout.

Aside from these, I must also emphasize that having a license is a privilege, not a right. You should work with honesty, integrity, and humbleness as an agent. Doing the right thing, being straightforward, and being sincere are traits that are slowly disappearing in this industry. We must do our part in bringing these characteristics back, and the rest should take care of itself.

My Plans

I've learned an incredible amount over the years, and I will leverage everything I know for my real estate career and for the benefit of my clients.

For the past 10 years, I've been planning a digital marketing strategy that can help implement an elite and extensive system. This will train real estate teams to go to the next level when it comes to growth and the brand.

Soon, I'll be revealing what my “end game” is in the real estate industry and with whom. Simply put, I'm going big, and at the same time help others come right along with me.

A huge part of my strategy is to create massive amounts of content, educating and entertaining the industry at a grand scale. YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, email, and blogging will all be platforms I plan to use as delivery methods for my content. Stay tuned for the next developments.
